Hey guys, cut it out. This forum is not for ripping on others, its for advice, input, and discussion of film.

And why do you think that StudentFilms has all of a sudden been filled with unoriginal material that stopped rigth after Troy Rackley stoped submitting? There is plenty of new original material out there, you're just being to cynical to give it a look.

That and this is a STUDENT film site, if you don't like the occasional unoriginal, none-groundbreaking material than your gonna be very disapointed. Not all student filmmakers can be the new Christopher Nolan, Richard Kelly, Speilberg, Scorcase, Hitchcock, blah blah blah...its a common fact, student films are the worst that a filmmaker will have in their portfolio. This site is here to help students for the next step, the next film. I used to think you realized this with all your posts about the reviews people posted. I respect you as a filmmaker, Mind, but you sound like a dick right now.

Me a dick? To quote my good friend Kyle "Q.What did the right leg say to the left leg? A. Watch out for the guy in the middle. He's a real dick Yes, sometimes" but who isn't. I tend to think of myself as the guy in the middle. I don't pick sides or pin myself down to one type od film making over another. So I will speak my "mind" when I have something to say. Sorry for having something to say.

Anyways...when I first came to this site, I thought it was great!!!...a few weeks after that, I thought it was really really great!!!. Since then, the films just have not been the same, I find it hard to watch all the new films lately. The message board use to be much better as well, until a few select people came on and really turned me away as well as others(you should have noticed by now who hasn't been posting lately).

So...recognize that I feel that at this moment the films are lacking(excluding Black Box and that new War flick)what the site used to have come into it. It's not to say that in the future(near) they won't get better and not to mention the discussion board too.

So thanks for playing the role of "Dad" and my "Mind" is just fine.

Dude, your a tool, I BET the only reason you find Thomas' films the best ones that have recently submitted is because a lot of other people have said that...so you have to do the same to fit in. Hey, I thought THE LOST SOLDIERS was great too, but the best one submitted for awile? I don't think so...it was just a trailer and a scene. Watch "UNLUCKY"...that's the best thing submitted for awile...

The Black Box, once again, I bet your mentioning it just because everyone else does. I didn't care much for this film, I was able to sit through it and enjoy it...but I didn't understand it till it was explained to me by the director. But I definetely don't feel it's one of the best films submitted.

And hey, if you got a fuc king problem with the message boards,don't go on 'em. I'm tired of people like you who come on here and bit ch about the message boards going down the toilet. Don't like it here anymore? Don't post.

I'm sorry you're so mad, "maybe they have lives " I don't? I'm making a movie as we speak...about 50-60 hours put into it each week for the last 5 weeks. PLus a part time job of about 20-25 hours a week, I hardely sleep. I had no clue Thomas made those...but still I stand my ground that he has the best in a long while. He has much talent. Although I would say that both films build from Momento and Saving Private Ryan.

I'm not here to "fight" with you. I was writing all that to get you on track. And you know what??? Since then, you seem to have been writing more mature post, thank you and I'm sure everyone else thanks you too.

I'm actually friends with Jay so we won' t get into that.

Mind -- something that may re-kindle your love for this site and inspire you... check out the film The Old Man that Cried Shark ! Its obvious that this guy had tons of wicked resources and somewhat of a budget , but its a wicked movie.

Kyle -- Saw Unlucky and hated it, thought it was very sloppy. I wish I could say more but I gotta jet. So watch The Old Man that Cried Shark... blew Unlucky away. Oh ya watch the mockumentary called The Monkey.. made me laugh so hard.

Sloppy? Dude that wasn't sloppy...that was it's style. Sure the film wasn't perfect...but definetely one of the most well directed, acted, filmed, and original films up.
