Alright, I agree that it's a good point to focus on the "bests" and not the "worsts". So.....what film/director on the site has the best music?

Do you mean best music like who has the best composer or just music in general, even tho it could be ripped off from "signs" etc ?

Good topic. A short on here that has a great use of music is Inherited Conspiracies by Jeff Ray. The music (and the subject matter being tackled by a high schooler) was one of the reasons I liked this flick that much.

For music video I would go with My Sundown by John Reeder. Cool video, great song.

Finally, for original music I was recently impressed by The Lost Soldiers by Thomas Veretta. The trailer uses some well know movie scores, but the clip from the movie is original, and quite impressive. Thats my pics... Im outta here.

Furious George- a great compilation of classic rock masterpieces. I would buy the soundtack if it were available.

Ex- I can't believe I'm saying this, but the didgeridoo gave the film a great feel.
I love the tone of this film.

Orphans/Reset- I love the minimalist compilations that just seem to swell and boil as the film progresses.

X vs. Y- The solo piano piece gives the film such a great tone, enhancing the surreality and hilarity.

I agree with Tizzy on Inherited Conspiracies. Best usage of music.

"Two Heads Of Burnt Norton" has great music by John Neff. Sort of weird poppy jazz.

I know these are both music videos, but damn the directors definetly knew what images to put with the music and those are the kinda films that put a feeling in the pit of my stomach that stays with me long after i see them. good job on both of those!

Dare to be diffrent... dont give in to the "norm"

I'm new on this site and I've only seen a few of the films, so, I don't have a good idea of which films have the best music. I did, however, see "Lex Talionis" and i liked the choice of music for the poker scene. I wouldn't say "best movie" or "best music" for this one, but I enjoyed it.

Since I consider "Inherited Conspiracies" one of the best films on this site, it would come as no surprise to you I like Jeff's choice of music in that one. (Even thought it was taken from "Road to Perdition".)

But I'd also like to point some attention in the direction of J.P. Saalfield. I'm not sure if his music is original or not. But I liked it anyway.
