I have my opinion, as do you...we are done.

Besides filming, the only other thing I ever did good was filming.

I have no problem I guess with people reviewing films with no films under their belts, no writing experience, no editing experience, no directing experience, AD, PA, or DP work...but where is the opinion really coming from?

That's really mature.

i have been reading the banter between all you guys, and man, just treat people as you would like to be treated.

i mean, Kyle, if you were to post a film up, would you like people to give you a bash like "this is crap, quit while you're ahead!" or would you like something more critical, that exactly points out where you need to improve on?

i guess that we are all learning a new craft and if there is something there that can be supported by the right words, it should be said.

would any of you, if you saw a child's painting and saw it's imperfections and that he/she did not paint along the lines and such; would you kill their hopes and dreams by saying it sucks, or some other type of negative opinion? i hope not. you'd be a monster.

yes, i have seen a lot of work on this site that needs improvement, and some gets too high of marks, but what it does not need is negative bashing by people who are thousands of miles away and sitting on their computer. would you say those things to the filmmaker's face? i don't think most everyone would ever have the guts and i hope they wouldn't.

treat others as you would like to be treated.

also, for anybody that has made a film in their life, wether its a feature or a short; there is a lot of work, patience, and determination in making a film, and those that accomplish it have the utmost respect from me.

and those who give bad, useless, idiotic reviews have none.

THINK BEFORE YOU WRITE!

Why bother even posting that? I gave you a thought out honest review.... Did you ever read it and think about what I said to you? BTW... I didn't "hold back" on you because i wanted you to feel what it's gonna be like once you "GET OUT THERE". Look, it's not pretty out there. This is what to expect.....

BTW... Here's a link to my review of your films. in case you missed it the first time. ------> http://foru ms.studentfilms.com/6/ubb.x?a=tpc&s=2086066451&f=2416029451&m=1686028822

*The kids that understand that it's gonna be like this and are able to "DEAL" with it, are gonna be the kids that "MAKE IT". Plenty of people will "HATE" what you do. But if enough people LIKE what you do..... well, you've got yourself a job. BTW.., No matter how successful you get people "SOME" people will "ALWAYS" hate you..... yes they will hate YOU not your work. Even though they themselves aren't capable of doing something better. It is perplexing, yes, but it is how it is. Look at what is said about Spielberg (etc.) here. Go f#cking figure.........

Yes it wasn't a "nice" review, but it was an honest "review". Again you are gonna have to get used to getting your p ride walked on if you wanna be a film maker. Yes you will continually be judged, that is what critics get paid to do. Look in a magazine, website, news paper, etc. etc. and you will hear some of the top film people in the WORLD getting ripped on. I f you think it's gonna be a smooth ride your are sadly mistaken. With your attitude you wont last very long unfortunately for you.

Again, toughen up kid!

*I'm trying to give some of you life lessons, "film life lessons".... Many don't understand what I'm doing, and how it applies. Some day it will make sense, what I saying today. Some day you will be working on a film and think to yourself "oh sh!t, now I understand what he was trying to teach me. He was really just looking out for me......"

As alway s..... it's your call.

Good luck!
Jay"

Dude...I have no idea whatt your post was TRYING to say..I understood one part...about little kids an paintings...but that's no even in the same ballpark...or the same league...IT AIN'T EVEN THE SAME F****** SPORT! Your supposed to say little kids are good at everything to build up their self-esteem...critisizing a film is totally different. Back on the little kid part...everybody should treat their kids like everyone else...no kids should be babied around...they'll grow up to be egotisticall little sh**s...but that's not what this topic is about. I gave an honest review...Mind Rites response/review mentioned me in it...as ifi t were on the message board...I found that to be unnecessary...ESPECIALLY when he started a WHOLE POST about bad reviews for his films. I'll continue posting honest reviews....you ,Kubrick, may continue to treat everybody like babies by telling them that it's ok to color outside the lines.

Mind Rite this, S. Tyler Wilson that...blah blah blah...you still don't have any work on the site...soooo yeah, I think that sums it up. You all make me laugh. This board is turning into a soap opera.

Words of advice...Listen to Jay, floss, don't preach, and always remember to give thanks. As for my shorts, like them, hate them, cus them out, piss on them, make me stronger blah blah blah...they're just my practce movies before I really get to yell "CUT!".

Besides filming, the only other thing I ever did good was filming.
