I dunno, I think it could have done without the voice over, cause when ever I hear voice over I want to fast forward t the inevitable death that will usually occur in the short (as it did in this). I suppose cause it's probably based on true experience I couldn't understand the relationship the two people had, but that's something that would have made me like it alot more. If instead of just a bunch of scenes to a song somethign could have been done to show who the characters were, even though that is probably too much to demand from such a short amount of time. I don't really care that it was shot on film, but you all know that, I deffinately don't hold it against the short, just doesn't do anything for me. The main problem I had was that it didn't really "say" anything, not that a film has to say something, but i like it when it does, otherwise it feels like a bunch of home movies pasted together with a nice happy song and a dedication at the end and I just really don't care that the boy died, it seemed to depend on be having a soft spot for cheap emotions, just because he died doesn't mean I'm going to get teary or emotional, just felt too cheap that way. This re-afirms my belief that sap and crap rhyme for a reason. Just my opinion though.
