who don't know anything about anything. O well, too bad for you. Don't watch Film 3, coming next week. It is a much better movie, but I wouldn't want a pretentious mouth breeder like you watching it anyway.
I don't feel insulted that many people hated Film 1, just frustrated because they're so stupid. Clearly they missed the point. O well, not everyone is born with understanding.

Maybe you could explain what makes them morons as opposed to smart and reasonable people who simply have different opinions than yourself.

Ok, your assumption is only highlighting your ignorance, hypocrisy, and lack of maturity. You need to be able to take criticism from others or your films are never going to get better. Accept that your movie wasn't that good and learn from your mistakes. Just because you "understood" it, doesn't mean others will and that doesn't mean they're ignorant. Whatever the "point" was in your film, it's your job to effectively convey it, which you obviously didn't do. Your defense mechanisms will only bring you down in this business.

I read the reviews and most of them were very constructive. Those who called it crap shouldn't be so harsh. You just have to learn to take the bad insults from those who throw it at you. I haven't watched your film, so I can't review it, but when I do, i'll use constructive. Just learn to deal with the insults and not post a topic and make fun of people calling them morons who made fun of your film.

Ladies and gentlemen...today we have dean martin and jerry lewis going to camp with us...Jerry tells the jokes, dean sings the songs and gets the girls...lets have a big round of applause!~~~Remember The Titans

i posted a nice, constructive criticism of the film on the review part of the site, but you know what? i'm not going to be so nice anymore.

your movie was pretentious, it had too many stupid and unnecessary jump cuts. The lighting sucked, the plot was nonexistant and sketchy, and your idea for a 24 hour movie is stupid. a good, solid anything probably can't come out of 24 hours. However, I'd prefer a good film maker prove that wrong, because I would be interested in seeing a GOOD movie come out of a 24 hour period. believe me.

its people with the attitude that you have that really irk me. if you've got the balls to say that we don't 'get it', that's your fault buddy. As the director, it's your job to get the point of the movie across. All I had when I was done watching yours was a headache from all of your stupid jump cuts and from having to hear that music. You saying "we don't know anything about anything" because we didn't understand your plot-lacking ass-backwardly cut movie really shows how much of an immature little child you really are. That's like me calling JW a moron because he likes iPods and I don't. JW & I don't agree about iPods, but because we have different viewpoints, he's not a moron. I respect his opinion, and I agree with what he said... maybe you should explain what makes us morons.

Well, zimmerfidget, here are your own words:

"...you dont have to defend your trailor against every single bad review it gets, if you think you did a great job and worked hard, then you did, so stop it."

So, please, "stop it".

Okay, me and Adam are not as bitter as we appear. We just are not to fond of most people. I personally don't enjoy having conversations with people that are not from New York City, frankly because I'm superior. I'm also going to take this time to commend the following people on stupendous films on this site, as I am probably perminantley shunned by the rest of you. I commend the following filmmakers: CINDY CASTORO, MATT WHITE, NICHOLAS GUREWITCH, MIKE BOVE, and TRIP JOHNSON. I truly enjoyed all of your works. However, back to the justification of my superiority complex. I find it very depressing when I recieve reviews from people that say I'm a crappy filmmaker. I would never leave a post like that because I am a descent human being. Quite frankly, a 24 hour movie is no way to display raw talent, since raw talent is something that must be molded with time on a director's side. These films act for one purpose, and that is to piss folks like you off. If you want to see my real work, go to Two Boots Film Slams on sundays (for those of you in the NYC area) or check out "Triad Beat" at the New York Internation Independent Film Festival in NYC (a movie that would probably get terrible reviews on this site because its "artsy" but has been hailed by those who matter). Basically if you don't live in NYC, too bad. I'm not gonna be sending these movies into studentfilms.com, simply because I'm cheap (I havent paid for any of my movies to go up yet). I'm also greatly offended how many people have said I rip off Aronosfsky and Fincher. They are both swell guys, and brilliant, but I choose not to be influenced by them (yes, we used music composed by clint mansell, but you know he did exist before Requiem)....frankly, I see my stuff ripping off of some odd brew of Lynch, Goddard, Vera Chytilova, and Renoir. Sorry I don't watch bang-bang-shoot-em-up-hot-chicks-brad-pitt-Joel Shumacker pieces of crap like some of you do. What can I say, I'm a twit. Private hate mail is welcome (upnsm0kebr@aol.com)

Love,

Ben

What's the point of anyone getting their panties in a bunch? If people are morons then fine. If your film sucked then fine.

If people are smart, and still didn't like your film, then it just wasn't good. Just because you put work into it doesn't mean anyone should care about it. Christ, you think painters got pissed because people didn't like their cartoons or studies that they did for the finished piece? Who cares? You're not supposed to see cartoons or studies, and if you DO see them, it's usually so you can point out all that's wrong with them just so they won't end up in the finished painting, not so you can get a pat on the back for half-assing it.

But you guys should keep up with the attitude though, mostly because it insures that I'll be getting the jobs instead of you. That way we all end up happy.

Anyway, for the rest of you guys, these kids are in highschool. Do you remember how stupid, annoying, and ignorant you were in highschool? Trust me, YOU ARE (WERE), even if you don't think you are. They'll grow out of it. If not, that's fine, big cities are full of micro-cinemas and galleries with people that the world don't "get". They'll have friends anyway.

Haha, RFranco, excellent way of putting it, I couldn't have said it better myself. I wrote my post with my fists swinging around like war hammers of rage. Your best point is the jobs. It had me laughing out loud.

I'm not paying these guys anymore attention. I don't dig people with a superiority complex. I'm from NYC, and I don't have one, neither should they.

You have to be an absolute moron to compare your low-grade amateur crap to Fincher or Aronofsky. The fact that you steal your music, like many bozos on this site, shows that you aren't serious and you aren't motivated enough to do anything worthwhile. New York is a crap place to live, FWIW.

I love this! This is all I ask. That everyone takes up a common enemy (in this case me and Adam) and unites to shut them down. Good jobs ladies and gents. Right now I am writing a treatment for a mockumentary about the messiac tale of Ben and Adam vs. the community of SF.com. I would appreciate anyone's permission that will let us use snippets of their responses for it. Much love, sexies.

Zimmer & Ben - I'm getting the feeling that you're just trying to stir up controversy so that people will watch your film. You guys are just turning into rabble rousers at this point. This topic is finished.
