I used to frequent this site quite often a few years ago. I was wondering what happened to some of the great old films that used to be on here?

Monroe Factor
Reset
Smoke

These are only a few that I could remember off the top of my head.

Were these removed for some particular reason? Is there somewhere else I could view them?

Just wondering.

They didn't renew the films or requested to have them removed. I'm actually toying with the idea of doing away with the renewal fees though.

Oh, that'd be two-grenades-in-each-hands awesome.

Some of those films were timeless pieces of Student Film history.

would that work retroactively? and if so for how much of the past catalogue? if not for all of the films than it would still be pretty cool to pick maybe the top 10-25 films from the past and bring it back, would have been cool for 5th anniversary that passed. I would love to see some of the classic sf.com films again ie. "Cactus"

I don't think it would be retroactively, no. At least not automatically.

If I do decide to do away with the fees - and I'm not saying that I am - it would be on a film by film basis for the old ones and the filmmaker would have to contact me directly to see if their old film could be re-added.

5th anniversary? I'm working on the 10th for the site?!? Crazy. August 1998 was the time this site first went online.
