Hmmm, I'd have to say Mahri's Revenge with all of its flaws or Kubrick77's which was pretty cool, oh and I thought Snapshot was well choreographed and shot. A lot of the flaws in student's action films, aside from the usual student film flaws such as lighting, audio, etc., are the cuts in between the action, they never seem to feel right. Like, you can feel that they moved the camera to get the shot of the person flying backwards, which even if it's the case in Hollywood, they do it so well it's typically not noticed. I think you should try for a master shot then go back in get the close-ups or different angles or whatever, I think that will make it easier to edit it seemlessly.
I think Mahri's Revenge is probably the best action film on the site. Stephen Reedy really has a knack for making action films. As he grows and continues to become more original he could grow into a solid action director.
Mahri's Revenge action pace was kind of off and on. It would go fast and then slow. The fight scenes between girls almost ran too long but do admire Stephen Reedy trying to get that Hong Kong female action feel in the short. I have to admit it interesting seeing those different camera shots and see. If you guys want see a really impressive short go to link http://www.ifilm.com/filmdetail?ifilmid=2415460 I was blown away when I saw for the first time.
