OMG. You know what? It is sitting on my desktop waiting to be watched! I'm so sorry I haven't gotten around to it yet! I did promise ages ago...

here, I'll prove it's downloaded and ready:

LOL Big Grin I'm watching it either today or tomorrow morning. I watched the opening few minutes the other day (very cool, btw) but I didn't have time, so I saved it.

(durden, hope you don't mind. With brice's help I "tidied up" this topic)

OK! At long last, I present without further ado, my review. I've also posted it on the film.

******

I was most impressed by the dialog. Nearly every line was highly convincing and realistic. Some really witty lines too. Kudos to Daniel Noa on both the writing and the directing. This film contained some of the best performances I've seen by teens portraying adults in student films. Danny's character seemed a bit over the top for the beginning half of the film, but in the end during the verbal duel in the woods it was just perfect. Jake Putich's portrayal of Kevin Radner was quite wonderful and easily the best in the film. Scott managed to be both maniacal and subtle, to quite a creepy effect. Monica Patterson may not have been a tough enough character for a detective... but I'm not sure. Maybe I'm biased by all the "tough female cops" on TV. The score was excellent and fit the mood perfectly without falling prey to the overly dramatic feeling which many student filmmakers (myself included) tend to put into the soundtrack.

The cinematography was one of the weaker aspects of the movie. I liked the style of close-up, handheld ("24" style) shots but this didn't work so well for slower moments or wide shots. There were quite a few really good shots too, of course. The story-line was a little bit weak; notably the fact that the FBI overlooked such an obvious connection as the victims holding shares in the same company. The action scenes felt much less developed than the rest of the film, and somehow lacking continuity. Things happened to fast, without showing us HOW they happened. Also, I wondered if Danny knew where Scott was at the end of the film, in the woods. when they were talking... it was unclear. If he didn't it would be a bit strange, because the woods were thin and well lit. If he DID he didn't act like he did.

All in all. Terrific job! I look forward to your next work! Well done!
