Are you sure? The ZR-40 has one. It seems odd that they'd take that feature off, though I have heard they've taken some things away on the newer ones Roll Eyes

One of your best choices would be to get a minidisc recorder, but I'll let someone who knows what the heck they're talking about explain it Big Grin

The best thing you can do without a mic input is to make sure to get rid of ALL background noises wherever you are filming. If it's outside, try to do your best. You may need to do some audio dubbing in post to make it sound better.

Not really a whole lot you can do.

Durden is right. ALL the big "Hollywood" movies do dialog replacment (ADR) and sound "sweetening" anyway. Oddly enough, if done right, you'd never know that it wasn't recorded during the film shoot. The goal is to make it seem as natural as possible. Layer, layer, LAYLER that sound! Smile
