I was just surfing around the internet when I stumbled upon this beast. Thought it might be of interest to this board. The fact that the camera looks like a railgun from Quake just makes it more sweet.

this camera can shoot 4k i believe. and it isnt really that expensive. I prefer shooting film to video any day, but this thing looks like it might change my mind in the future.

Try doing a search before posting.

Unfortunately the 17k pricetag is only for the body. Lenses, compatible acquisition system, batteries and necessary accessories easily drive the price up to $30k+. The "low price" is really only appealing to professionals who already have existing PL-mount lenses, V-mount batteries, etc.

Still, the cost of renting this thing, shooting a feature on it, and then printing to film is probably going to be more than comparable to shooting a feature on 35mm. This is the future.
