I bought a canon super 8 auto zoom 1218, and recently found that the power zoom switch, along the the manual zoom is broken. I need to know how I can get this camera fixed. If anyone knows of a page devoted to these cameras, or any info regarding fixing them, please post.
Danka.

Where did you buy it at? Do you still got a warranty? I would cruise the Canon Website and look for a toll free customer service number or maintenance email address.

Canon won't fix anything that old. If you call them they could give you a list of places that will fix it. Most major cities have atleast one place that will fix old still and moving film cameras since sometimes that parts have to be remade by hand.

I'm not sure, but it may be cheaper (or at least more worth your while) to just buy a new camera. Don't take my word on that though. I haven't done any kind of research or anything about it. So, check it out first.
