I have the opportunity to purchase the trv900 for $999 CDN (about $820 US). Is this a good deal? I was also looking at the Pan pv-gs65 for about $680 CDN. I know the trv900 is pretty old, but still good, so which is better? What can the trv900 be compared to of similar quality today?
Thanks

Are you getting it new? Its a great camera but unless it comes with a lot of accessories I wouldn't go for it. Ive seen used ones too for like 400 that come with everything. I wouldn't honestly. I love that camera but I wouldn't unless you absolutely need it.

Get the Panasonic. It's newer, thus meaning it has newer technology and probably better picture quality. Get the Sony if you shoot with a lot of low light.
Get the sony and send me that cool lens hood it comes with All joking aside, I'd get the sony they are always more reliable and usually have better picture quality (expecially when compared to a gs65).
