I am new to this site and I joined it because I am looking for someone who would be interested in joining up with me and my production crew to be our lighting director. I am a stuednt from San Diego CA and I am producing our schoold first feature length film. This is a very large scale project and I have been working on it for over a year now. What is a "Lighting Director"? Usually a DP and Gaffer collaborate on lighting.

i think a lighting director is the same as a DP is it not?

What I meant by "lighting director" is the person in charge of setting up and directing lighting for the film.
