Does anyone know the upgrades they made to the camera. My attempt at finding the changes on canondv.com failed, so I am hoping someone on this board knows.

Yeah Canon changed a grip of things on the GL2. They added, manual audio recording, which is very helpful, I know because I have the GL1 and recording nice sound is tough. Next, they upgraded from 270,000(270K) pixels on each chip to 380K pixels per chip...increase of 40% in resolution. Also better still images, lower weight, longer in body shape, and a VU Meter display in the view finder, flip out screen and also on the side of the camera JVC style. That's what I know at least...hope it helps! Later!
