How, in your opinion can I get this camcorder to capture the best quality, settings wise. I got the best DVCs I could find for the camera and I was testing out. My settings now, off the top of my head are: LP rec speed, aspect ration of 16:9, OIS on, and Auto Focus.

All the advice is greatly appreciated.

I'm not familiar with the camera, but for starters change it to SP. LP allows you to record longer on the tape, but the quality will suffer. Also you should be using manual focus, and a tripod (you don't have to use it for every shot, but it helps out a TON).

One of the best ways to get a quality shot is proper lighting. You don't have to have fancy lights in order to light either, you can use available lighting and just pay attention to how it looks, and try and tweak it a little.

Thanks Heliotrope, those were actually my main worries. Actually, I was looking in the manual and it just wouldn't tell me the difference between SP and LP (And if it did I guess I missed the page).
