I took money out of my pocket to get my JVC mini DV cam fixed, the message, "condensation, please wait" kept appearing and then I find out that it was overheated (summer at the time). But i don't know why it has happened again(kept in a cool place)! I'd rather just buy a totally different camera then put up with this! Has anyone had this problem before?

Had a similar problem.

Some water got into my DV camera over the summer and it stopped working. I had to choose between spending %200 to get it fixed or getting a new camera. I choose to get a new camera off of ebay and got a great camera for a great deal.

Yeah, that's a problem I got a lot with my GL1. Condensation and dirty-heads were the two biggest problems that kept me sending it back.

it wuld probably be better in money terms to just get a new camcorder, otherwise u will spend just as much or more getting ur camcorder fixed all the time.

I don't set out to make "art" I just try to make something with a beginning, middle, end, and some characters...the art seems to come during the process.

i had the same problem when i went on a cruise last summer. I left it open with the battery out in a dry room for a long time and its been fine for over a year. Worth trying. I wouldnt try to force dry it, but it probably would hurt to use an air duster in there. Just be careful not to spray too close and dont flip it over so the cold liquid comes out - that'll kill it quick. If anything it is a good last ditch effort.
