hello, i would llike to know, if there are some sprays, or other chemical tricks to steam up windows? i have to get this effect in a cafe, we pretend to be shooting in winter, but we'll shoot in late summer, so the temperatures might not be right.. our dop said, that she had some kind of spray at a shooting in france, i've never heard of that kind of spray here in austria.. is there anything we can do except cooling the window and reheating it from the opposite?
looking foward to read your experiences!
thanks
verena

It depends on how long the scene is, but steam from boiling water can steam windows pretty quiclky. It doesn't last long though, that's the problem.

are you looking for frost or steam? for frost, you could try something like this or this. For steam, dulling spray or some kind of matte spray would probably work.
