hey everybody, i haven't been on in a long time.but anyways, now that i have a camcorder i'm looking at shotgun mics. has anyone ever used the Azden ECZ-990 because i think it looks pretty good. if not and u'd like to recommend one, my price range is about 70 bucks. thanks in advance
I don't set out to make "art" I just try to make something with a beginning, middle, end, and some characters...the art seems to come during the process.

cheap mics generally are crap. I havnt heard too many bad things about Axden Stuff though, but if you can, hold out, save and get yourself a sennheiser.

I have a azden sgm-x shotgun mic for my gL2 it works well close up, but the pickup range(distance from the mic) is fairly poor, get's the job done though... anyhow i'd save up for a sennheiser, don't waste your money on anything else.
If your gonna be shooting outdoors primarily, definately invest in a "Reycoat" Windjammer, i bought mine for 200$ tax in canadian it works wonders in moderate wind.(None of that buffeting noise)
