you mean like shooting miniature models? you can do it with you camera. they shoot miniatures with 35mm if the rest of the movie is on 35, they shoot it on video if the rest is on video.

if the whole thing is a miniature, and there's no other footage to match, you can shoot with any camera or format.

The miniatures for Lost Springs were shot with a cheapy security camera purchased at a local electronics store. IT was about 1/2 the size of a twinkie and cost about 40 bux
