Hey guys... Im making my first movie in almost 4 years so I am damn rusty at low budget techniques so Im asking for any suggestions for lighting. The whole movie takes place in a bathroom in two diffrent stalls and im wondering how you guys suggest lighting them? My plan is a lamp that i want to set outside of the stall and use a bounce card to reflect the light into there. THink it will work? If anyonwe has any better ideas I could really use advice im shooting next friday. Thanks guys.

Yeah, light from above and keep plenty of reflectors around. What are your angles? You can probably keep lots of reflectors right around the camera, too, just out of FOV.

It depends on the mood of the movie.
You would not light a bathroom scene that is supposed to have a gritty feeling to it the same way that you would light a bathroom scene that is supposed to have a surreal feeling to it.

How much space is there between the top of the stall walls/door and the ceiling?

Yeah this movie is a flat out disgusting comedy so the lighting wont need to be anything dramatic. We have a good 3 feet from the top of the stall to the ceiling, my only worry is having it look un natural, even tho its a comedy i wanna do my best to not get all hokey with it.

In one of my amateur movies, he did a scene in a bathroom also.
we used 2 fresnel lights with green gels agaisnt the white wall.It gives the room a nice mood. We see that a lot in american movies.
