i'm hoping to make a short film about torture and i have a few mind boggling problem i hope fellow filmmakers here can give me some fresh insight into...

1. i have few fight action sequences. what is the best way to shoot these fight scenes? obviously i don't have a stunt man. what i'm planning is to shoot these scenes using clever angles in slow-mo and then speed it up in post prod so that it looks real. is there any other way?
2. my film is about torture...i don't have the production team of hostel 1 or 2 at my beck and call..so I'm using shadows, sound and lot of fake blood to compensate. my idea of torture is just limited to burning someone and using an axe to cut someone's fingers (no SFX). can anyone suggest any methods of creative torture ?

Well After Effects is a powerful program, but unless you have a lot of experience with it, your "red hot iron" may end up looking more like a lightsaber. I would suggest finding a creative way around it with some clever prop design.
