Hmmmm? It will always take longer to render a chunk into B&W than to shoot it that way. However, if you shoot in color to begin with you have more image control in post, even if the final destination is completely B&W. I only shot B&W to begin with on the mini-series because the producers demanded it. Here's a rough trailer for a feature I shot in undergrad. I'm rying to convince the directors to send it to studentfilms. Nota "Only saves it for post if there's a worthwhile benefit" Mono
