I was outside, today, shooting and it was really cold, so cold that my camera wouldn’t work. I know that electronics don’t really thrive in cold temperatures, so I tried wrapping the camera in my scarf but it didn’t seem to help. So if anyone had any suggestions that would be great. Thanks.

Kat.

Sometimes batteries die quicker in the cold (keep them in your inner pockets, but I've never heard of a camera just refusing to work. Wow.

Another thing to be careful of is moisture condensation, which can ruin the camera. When transitioning from very cold environments to very warm environments, it is recommended that you put the camera in a sealed plastic ziplock bag for a while, to let it acclimate to the warmer temperature.
