Is there auto white balance on the panasonic dvx100? I want to do a shot of someone walking through the house to out to the drive way and i dont want to have to keep white balancing it room to room to outside. Is there a way to do this? Help!

You want the auto tracking white balance (ATW) function. You can assign it to the preset, A or B values to easily switch from.

But why not light it properly so you don't have to change the WB at all? That's how it'll look the best.

That's exactly what I'd suggest. What's the layout? What're the motivating sources for your interior lights? What's happening in the script?

Mixed lighting can come off natural, but if it's not the effect you want just throw some CTB on your interior lights to taste (Or use HMI's if you got 'em).

The most difficult part of a shot like this is hiding your aperture ramp(s) if you need to do them. Of course, these aren't even really possible on most pro-sumer cameras (Unless you want nasty auto aperture), so you may be screwed anyway. I'm not sure about the adjustability of the DVX-100's aperture ring(Tizzy?).
