Hi...I'm new and looking for a good decent quality starter camera.

I have found a GL2 with only 10 hours on the heads.

Is this a real good deal?? or should I keep looking?

Sounds almost too good to be true. Watch out for scams.

Is this camera easy enough to "start" on? Is it outdated at this point?

I love Canon, and coming from a person who only has a crappy Sony Handycam, I'd love to have a GL2. I'd settle for a GL1.

They are great cameras, and relatively easy for the novice filmmaker. It's a 3 chip camera with a nice focus ring, easy enough to start out on, and plenty of features to explore once you feel more comfortable working with the manual settings.

For the price range you are looking at, I'd say its the best.
