that's a great thread kcfilm, thanks. I especially like the one about feeding your crew, can't remember how many times i've helped gaff in films while starving.

I read a couple of those how to make a movie for $10,000 books and then read What They Don't Teach You At Film School. I thought everything in it was either just worse put information from the $10,000 books, or really horrible bull**** motivation stuff. I found a lot of the stuff on the link fit into those categories too, although I did like the first one.

i no it may seem like crap, but some of those things however simple they may seem are the things r the things people forget and then waste money and time having to reshoot a whole scene or watever. when ur making films u have to pay attention to detail.

I don't set out to make "art" I just try to make something with a beginning, middle, end, and some characters...the art seems to come during the process.

Alot of this tips are terrible. If you have to be giving out tips like that to make a movie, you need to get your crap together a lot better before you try to film anything.

RFranco - you'd be surprised at how well some of them work. The book that I mentioned has all kinds of tips like that on promoting and selling your movie, etc.

Don't knock it till ya try it, or at least learn more about it.
