yeah this is important, im in the final stage of pre-production for my movie but i need help because a dog gets run over and i need to create a fake dead dog. how am i gonna do this? i was tihnking stuffed animal but the scene is pretty important because thats what the whole story revolves around. how can i create a dead dog?!? can someone help please!?

Just do what they did with the polar bear in Lost and don't actually show the dog. Just show an out-of-focus tuft of fur in the bottom third of the frame with the actors in the background looking down at it.

What scares me is WHY did you wait until the final stages of pre-pro to start wondering how you will make a dead dog? If it is that relevant to the film maybe a little more planning would help.
I'm sorry if I sound too harsh its just I am an fx artist and get this kind of nonsense all the time.

Find a real one. I just saw one on Sunday. Brown and white. I suggest wrapping it in plastic first and wearing gloves.

haha yeah i know but ive been really busy with it(other parts of the movie) so i didnt really get lots of time to tihnk but yeah, ill be more prepared next time for sure.
