i bought a krasnogorsk-3, the russian 16mm camera which can easily be converted into super16. you can find them for $200 or less on eBay. if you want to learn more about them, see these links. follow the second link and it will also bring you to a page with budget 16mm cameras, including the arriflex 16s.

Hah! I never realized the Krasnagorsk-3 had a 35mm Pentax mount. I'll keep it in mind if I ever need a crash cam.
How do the images look? With that mount these things sound like they'd be pretty good for long lens photography.

i got two super8 cameras in a thrift shop for equivilent $3 USD each!!! and a high quality tripod for $1! These things can be found, you just have to hunt and look an dbide your time, and pounce when you see things!
