Thanks thats a fairly good tutorial but Im looking for something that perhaps explodes a bit since I need the littlebits and pieces flying off from the person when they get hit if possible.

I must check my bookmarks, but there somewhere is a company that makes these things that are designed for popping balloons remotely...for parties and whatnot...you fill the balloon with confetti, press the button, and watch it pop...but they supposedly are good for squibs...I'll look for them on my old hd sometime soon....

Just use firecrackers, put them on the clothing and slip a piece of cardboard under the spot so it doesnt hurt you, and if you want blood put a packet of blood over the firecracker.

use a peice of sheet metal instead of cardboard, it'll probably scare the hell outta you when it explodes along with the sound of the metal so you'll do better acting.
