Absolutely do not buy from the above link. It is a sure scam. That camera should be over 2000 bucks, not 899, so you can be sure you're not getting the real thing. Check out www.bhphotovideo.com, for realistically good prices. They are by far the leading online retailer for cameras, so you know you aren't getting scammed or cheated.

If you want the DVX, which is a great choice and will make an excellent camera for a couple years - buy used. You can buy a good used one from the marketplace on DVXuser.com - they're usually always selling, because the people there are upgrading to HD. The retail price for a DVX is $2500, with goodies. You can probably get a used one with some goodies, for around $2000. Try getting a student discount off of Final Cut Pro (are you going to be just getting Final Cut, or Studio 1/2?). Both are fine, and will serve your purpose, but Studio 2 is much more in-depth with more programs to do different things. If you don't need to upgrade your computer to run Final Cut, then with that budget in mind, you should be fine. -Kegan

AHHHHH nobody listens to me!!!! Don't shop at bestpricecameras.com they will screw you over big time. They added an extra 2,000 dollars to my bill and there is nothing I can do about it.
