Do you think that by next year, the price will have dropped at all on the GL2? Just wondering about that.

Yes of course, I have seen price drops on camera's happen in the span of 3 months. Just depends on what models are going to be released by Canon and what their marketting plans are. Of course I can't predict but I am 99% sure that yes GL2 will go down in price.

I don't claim to be an expert by any stretch, but technology drops quick, i would be very surprised if the GL-2 isn't cheaper by next year. ON the otherhand, i haven't heard anything major comming form cannon so it most likely will be a couple months yet.

Man XL1s aren't anythign to drool over.. I rather get Panasonigs Ag100 anyday. GL2 and Xl1s are basically hte same camera, except a few more manual controls and expensive lenses with the XL1s. But i heard cannon is releasing the XL2 soon so maybe that will cause the Gl2 to go down in price!

Well put, Irony. I used to want an XL-1s really really bad, and now I realize there is stuff a lot better out there.
