I knew someone who shot w/ super 8 used a dat(sp??) recorder for sound. Is this the best method? What Dat recorders do you recomend?

DAT recorders are extremely expensive, I think. Look into MiniDisc systems; they're also expensive, but much less so.

I'd personally look into hard disk or compact flash recorders. They seem to be the coolest new way to do dual system sound.
