whats the best price i should pay for a used canon XL1, and does any one know any sites i can order it from?

I more or less built mine from parts for about 1900. A prepackaged one, assuming you're talking about the XL1 that is no longer in production and not the XL1S, should be about 2500 to 3000. It may be less, as I built mine years ago.

No way!

Much less than that. Either the XL1 or the XL1s goes for a lot cheaper than that. The price range of 2500-3000 is for a used XL2 now.

Yeah, I took a look and it looks like they're running about 1500 now used.

But with the drop in the price in the others I may want to upgrade... so if you're interested in an XL1 let me know.

But you said you built yours from parts...who'd want a home-built camera? Unless that's just a fancy way of saying you bought the body and lens separately...
