i have a panasonic pv dv953 camera and am ready to get a new mic for it. i make a lot of shorts and am working on an online show with some friends. we do a lot of our filming with nobody at the camera, so need a mic that can just mount on the top of the camera. i dont think we want a zoom mic, b/c we want the volume of everyone around the camera to be equal, even if they arent in the shot. we do alot of filming outside, so one that doesnt pick up alot of wind. what should we get for around $100.

I think your best bet would be the ECM-MSD1, im pretty sure its compatible with all mini dv camcorders.

yea i have seen that mic in best buy and was thinkin about gettting it.

i just went agian and its going to be a little while before i can get the money. i also saw this mic and was wondering if it would be worth getting, its only 56$ but has a zoom mode, a normal mode, and can be used either mounted on the camera or with a 25 foot chord.
