i know there are probably dozens of topics very similar to this one, however a few hours of reading still has not produced an answer for me.

heres the deal. most of my filming is of abandoned buildings. its a hobby of mine and i enjoy being able to show other people what its like through video. i've made a few short films which you can watch if you'd like....

they're not the best quality by any means, but this is the type of thing i would be filming. which brings me to my question....my camera was stolen and now i need a new one. all the cameras i've looked at have had significant downfalls. i would like something high def so that could possibly make a decent dvd of my explorations. i dont have the money to get gl2 or any of cannon's high end cameras. what i can afford is around $1300. all the cameras i look at are either bad in low light, or the record format isnt supported in premiere.
any ideas?
