Does anybody have any direct experience with the Panaflex 16? Perhaps a link to its instruction manual? I'm camera-opping tomorrow and 1st A.C. for the following 4 days using this camera and I've never used it before. The only other Panavision camera I've used is the PFXLW-II, and their designs are dramatically different.

Any brilliant ideas?

you don't have an ASC manual?

http://www.imago.org/ASCmanual.htm

and how'd you get the first assitant job if you never used the camera before?

but if you're picking up the camera tomorrow, ask the rental house to show you how to use it real quick, they always say yes because uhm, it's important that you know how to use it.

The normal 1st A.C. on the project is out for the next five days, she has personal things to attend to. I've worked as an A.C. many times before, so this isn't a "big thing". I have a solid understanding of Panavision's cameras [so I'll be fine on the basics], but I was just looking for any additional in-depth information that could be provided. I'm the sort of person who isn't satisfied with his ability to use a camera until he could take that camera apart completely and put it back together... you know?

Anyway, we already have the camera. I'm sure that the DP will give me the basics. Tomorrow will be the tricky part; the following 4 days will mostly be focus pulling.
