For those of you in the indie. scene or have a fetish towards hand-held video cameras...here is a review of the Panasonic DVX-100, the most popular of entry level "indie" cameras.
This camera is currently being used for the filming of Crystal Insight's latest project...and the Crystal Insight team wouldn't have it any other way.
Tingey, If you know anything about the DVX, I have a question. Alot of people say that when they get their DVX100A they also get a 16:9 adapter...In that case, they would also have to buy a 16:9 lense right? and is this real 16:9 like theatre expansion or just "movie mode" 16:9? Doesnt the DVX shoot in 16:9 without the adapter and lense attachment?
"The world is constantly changing around us kid. That's why I don't jump, i'm afraid i'll land somewhere else...lonely."
The 16:9 lens IS the adapter. The DVX100 shoots in 4:3 mode and you have the option to "letterbox" the video. The DVX100A lets you do 16:9 and crops the image to fill the rest of the 4:3
