The movie i am currently working on has an opening scene that i want to look a certain way.
the setting is a dark old office room setting with only computer, and low lights
the only trick is that i want it to look very dark, but also i don't want the audience to see/make out the two charecters faces, make out the body figure and computer lights ect.
can somebody help me out with where i should put the lights for this scene

If you want to see the characters' outline, but not faces, you will have to light them from behind. (which makes a silhoutte of your character) Perhaps you should light the room only from the wall that the chracters have their backs to. Hang a few soft/diffused blue lights from the top of that wall and angle them slightly downward, spreading light over the whole room. If you think the image is too bright, you can adjust the f-stops accordingly, or alter the image in post.
