My camcorder shoots with 16bit audio. Now my brothers who hae a band bought this itneresting gizmo. it reords with 16bit audio but obviously i can use a boom mic, clapperbaord and the sync the thing. So is it worth using? Or should i stick with what i got?

I would use the other gizmo just because its there. Built in sound recording is fine as long as the camera and actors are well placed, but it also tends to record camera noise which can be irritating.
