You should be fine...especially if it is a state school. You have the legal right to film or photograph any public area. The rules could be a little different on a private-school campus...but I seriously doubt they would contest anything after-the-fact. (on a private school campus, they might ask you to stop filming if they saw you in the act) Also if you are a student of a state university, you have to right to display and use their official emblem/logo, as long as you do not modify it in any way.
