I still have over fifty VHS films to watch. They're rather easy to obtain for mere pocket change as people practically throw them away these days. So the DVD collection will probably be rather slow in formation.

i still buy VHS too. some movies aren't worth owning on DVD. for the important ones (Terminator 2, The 36th Chamber of Shaolin, Enter The Dragon, Reservoir Dogs) I'll buy on DVD. For the unimportant ones (Commando, Cannibal Halocaust, lots of other stupid movies) I'll just stick with the sub-par quality of VHS.
I've got at least 120, not sure specifically. There's piles of DVDs everywhere, like it rains these things. Every day my debit card balance gets lower and the UPS/FedEx/mail man brings more.

10, these are just the movies I REALLY wanted to own. For everything else, there's netflix!

I have about forty. But they are movies that I would want to own for a long time and don't mind watching several times. DVDs to me can be so much fun like the Special Edition Memento that has that crazy menu. That's just so cool to me.
P.S. What is this with the whole Graduate, Alumnus, Freshman deal? I thought I got out of that labeling system when I left high school.

This is based on how many posts you have, its got nothing to do with the same conforming cliques u have in high school. The moderators are labelled moderator and everyone else is labelled too. But its not a hierarchy, we treat everyone with the same respect whether they are brand new or years old members.

I have 277 of em. There almost all movies i liked enough to own as well, or had some great extras/scenes that I wanted to be able to refrence. So i'm easily impressed and amused. There are only about 10 that i watch over and over though.
My collection just increased! I got The Firm as a gift. I've never seen it before but I guess I will see it soon. And this morning I bought a couple more 1940's Bela Lugosi films. That guy was cool.

hahaha, that is exactly what i do. I think i only own a dozen dvds, like fight club, american beauty, pulp fiction, etc. i get anywhere 2-5 movies a week off of netflix, and just keep watching them.
my friend says i can get a program that copies dvds. so im contemplating renting off of netflix and then having a copy of them... but i would feel dirty.
i totally recommend netflix to everyone tho.
