I have almost finished the script for my first short film and will be working on getting locations and cast/crew soon.

I ran across a question the other day.

If I begin created short films and the cast and crew work for free will I be able to create a DVD version of the films? Like a collection of shorts.

I just don't know what all everyone who was envolved in the production would be entitled too.

Thanks,
Shunohaku

you can do whatever you want!

of course, selling DVDs of the films without telling your cast you planned to do this ahead of time (and without giving them a expenses only or free copy) would not go down well.

but, yeah, legally you can sell them Smile

to be 100% legal you'd need releases for each actor, location, and song too.
