Hey Brent,
To say Half-Baked is a bad movie is probably right, but I have to let you know that you gotta be in a certain, "mood" to appreciate it . . . of course I'm sure you already knew that. As for Rollerball, I totally forgot about that one. All I remember is a sound effect of a spring going, "Boinginging" a couple of scenes when they jumped or something. Could not stop laughing [and crying for actually watching the movie]

I don't agree with Kyle, but I think he's made some very good, intelgent, relevant points. I respect his opinion.

Did you know before CK, Wells was planning on doing an adaptation of the book, Hearts of Darkness--Coppola's Apoclypse Now. But RKO pulled the plug on the project because it was too controversal. So Wells made CK instead. I found this interesting.

actually, heart of darkness by joseph conrad was written about 75 years before apocalypse now was made. its about an explorer guy who is sent by a company to reaffirm a post where the leader has gone crazy (named kurtz). FFC adopted it to fit witht the vietnam war.

You know what I find interresting? I find it interresting that a guy like welles who made such a well recieved film (whether one personally likes it or not, it was well recieved and praised) had such a hard time making films after that. I know the reasons as ive seen the documentary on him, hearst and CK, but it still puzzles me. I guess he was ahead of his time with too little power and the studios fought back.

OOOOOOOOHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH, I see.

Too bad, Heart of Darkness has a more interesting and appealing story than that of Citizen Kane.

Then again........doesn't really matter, does it?

it depends, the actual film version of HOD with tim roth and john malkovich was more boring to me than CK. Apocalypse Now is just a more modern adaptation and ppl can understand and relate to the madness.

Johannes Gutenberg invented the printing press. James Bennett founded the New York Herald in 1835 and pioneered new concepts of circulation and timely news gathering. (He basically invented the idea of being the first to get the news.) His influence on the ways the news and press industry work today is unparalleled.

No no way. The movie was really terrible i think. Jim Carrey has done alot better and the movie was just so pointless and plotless in my opinion. Hes done so many better movies.

I'm sorry, no. That movie was at least watchable on an ironic level.

Freddy Got Fingered is brilliant becuase its so WRONG! No other person but tom green would ever have gotten that to film - but some parts are very funny.
