How do you make the mouth and eyes move on toys when you're doing stop motion> (I understand how to move the body pieces frame by frame but i don't understand how to make the eyes blink and mouth move when they don't move on the toys.

thank you

for eyes, you could get clay with the same tone as the toy and use that. just putting it off and on for the frames needed.

usually you sculpt same heads with differnt faces using all the motions of the mouth. (art books will show you what shape the mouths make)

then you plan out the words, break it down into syllables, then figure out what mouth goes with that phonetic sound.

then you number the heads in the order you need them. (usually they draw them out as well just to make sure the lips sync up to the voice)

finally as you shoot, you switch the heads on/off as you need them.

I've also seen where people edit it frame by frame in photoshop. It may take a lot long, but it may work out better too.

i edit it in photoshop frame by frame, but that takes forever. everytime the mouth moves its at least 10 min in photoshop Plus shooting the charactor at a angle and then making the mouth moving is a challenge. i recomend you do it without the mouth and eyes moving, they don't make much of a differnece. -good luck
