don't you guys find its hard to get good actors? you write a script and in your head it's perfect! but then when you get people acting in it it never quite makes it how you want.

any thoughts?

i find that good actors are a dime a dozen... i also find that films never ends up like you imagined it...you have to make sacrifices, but that's just how it is, and you cope, and sometimes it changes your image of how your film will look....

i always find that films go through several "perfect in your head" versions, before arriving at the final product.

1) the image you have when you first get the idea

2)the image you have when you finish the first draft of the script

3)the image you have when you finish the script

4)the image you have after you rehearse with your actors

5)the image you have while you are shooting

6)the image you have as you edit

7)the final product.

i find i grow to accept the image as it changes, and i have never really been upset by the end result, granted i haven't made a whole lot of films.

I search for the almost perfect actor for that character. Then when I film I take it over and over till I get as close as to whats in my head.
