haha. I did NOT watch the red carpet. I sort of watched most of the Oscars, but I kept popping into the kitchen to work on some really really good enchiladas I was making. Mmmm, I just may have the leftovers for breakfast. | PerryKroll.com | TRC | "If not actually disgruntled, he was far from being gruntled." Wodehouse

how adsactly do they vote for those tpyes of awards? i heard only academy members who are in the same field (cinematography for example) can name the nominees, but that the entire academy votes for the winner out of the 5 nominees. so logically, youve got a majority of actors in the academy who dont know jack **** about cinematography, the same way they dont know jack **** about directing when they voted for Clint Eastwood for best director for MDB (worst film ive evr seen btw), maybe its cause hes an actor himself that they like him, but I think Scorsese is a better actor than Eastwwod, such is proof in Taxi Driver. Basically youve got alot of actors, ppl who have made careers based usually totally on their physical appearance and abiltiy to make expressions with their faces voting for alot of things (editing, sound, sound mixing, cinematography) and **** they know nothing about. That's why the Oscars aren't even the "peer" awards they claim to be, because actors giving awards for more technical-artistic merit is bull****. yet another reason why the academy sux, do i seem bitter
