I'm making a few videos in my home audio studio and I really don't have much space with blank walls and so most of my video shots seem....strange?

Anyways I feel I should get a back curtain or something of another color to put behind me as im on set talking to the camera. I would need something that can mount up on a stand and then pack away nice and small when the day is done.

Something about 6' wide x 6' tall should do well.
Any suggestions on what to get and where to get it?
I have looked around B&H but they don't seem to have any curtains at all.

Anyone have any ideas on what something like this would cost to buy?

Would I be better off building a PVC frame and getting some material from the store and making something myself?

What kind of videos are you making?

A high quality curtain will be a little on the expensive side, but if doesn't need to be anything fancy, you can just hang a thick black bed sheet from a pipe and it will have the same effect for much cheaper

You could just go to your local material shop, whip out R70/$20/£7 for a piece of nice shiny material used on performance stages. Then get yourself some pins and pin it up onto the wall or board, squashing large pieces of the material in-between the pins creating ripples.

Here’s how it should look.

You can use other colors but they normally only sell red, blue or green.

I think I'm going DIY on this one.

Here's a sample of the videos I'm making, this one came out good but I'm working on an overhead mic and background for the next two videos.

Download and play full screen in windows media player for best results.
