hey guys magic bullet is the best program out. thats right. that right there takes dv footage and makes it look like film. and if your a student you get a discount. it deinterlace your footage and makes it 24p. check the site out. your in for a treat.
its a plug in though. you will need after effects 5.5. also it has advance color correction. that program has worked with vanilla sky, and jack ass. go to www.theorphanage.com. no one can be told what magic bullet does you have to read it yourself. have fun

the company i work for has researched them for a DV shoot we were bidding on. i'm not sure if they do student discounts though. Like Pixar or ILM I'm pretty sure they work mainly with high budget productions. I'd be hard pressed to think they would comp a kid and provide cheaper service for a student film. But in these days of recession who knows?

good luck

Yeah, it works really well. I don't know about the color corection, though. The best part for me is the white and black diffusers modeled after the Tiffen diffusion filters. Student price is 500US.

Honestly, if you're good with composite modes, you can do almost everything in the look suite. The deinterlacer is bad ass, for 60i.
