I've got a short PSA finished for a festival, which needs to be on either DVD or VHS. So do I need a DVD burner to put it on DVD, or is there another way? Also, I have no problem printing it to my DV tape, but for some reason, I can't get it from tape to VHS. I try recording it to VHS and play it back on the VCR, but all I get is some weird fuzzing. My dad says that the VHS player might not be able to pick up a digital signal(don't know how right he is about that).
I need to get this on VHS or DVD by Friday, so can anyone help?
Make sure you can play it from the DV tape to the TV properly with the analog video plugs (I'm sure you got this far) and then attach the same plugs to the video in on your VCR (again, I'm sure you got this far.)
Now, VCRs record from different channels. If you have cable or satellite TV you may always record channel 3. Try to change the channel on your VCR and see if it begins playing the movie through to the TV. Try 3, 4 and if those don't work look for channels called things like AV Front, AV Rear, AV IN, Alternate, Analog, Aux etc.
DVDs:
To do it yourself you need a burner. There are service places that can do it for you, but, AFAIK, they are fairly expensive.
