I never tell anyone my ideas. Especially online. I know you guys wouldn't rip me off, but there are a lot of people reading this forum.

^^^very true TD. I'm always amazed how many hits i register on my site from threads linked from this forum...and i know most of those are not from board members, there are too many hits. I dont think any of you guys feel the need to see what i'm doing that often So there are definitely non members lurking around here.

i have a phobia of even mentioning my ideas out loud cause. it seems like everytime i do i end up seeing it on the big screen. luckily none of my friends have the motivation to steal any of my good ideas...unfortunately neither do i

What haunts me is the fact that I want to develop my idea so badly that I get outside help. Now nobody is going to steal it, but I know Id appreciate the idea much better if it were my own. Thats why I make it my cause just to get outside opinion by saying, what would you like to see happen with this or something. I dont use other peoples ideas and most times I just dont like them because there not my own and dont have my sould in them.

People in the business wouldn't say that because people copy each other all the time.

A lot of the audience wouldn't say that because if that was the case, hollywood wouldn't make money making the same movie over and over.

I guess it WOULD totally suck if someone stole my idea but no really seems interested to hear any of my ideas except of course my good friends who in the end wind up working with me ...
but to really hurt this guy make the best film you could possibly think of and beat him at his own game so in the end stealing your idea would be a complete waste because he cant think of any thing good for next year's fest which means he has no talent AT ALL..

same thing happend to me kinda,I held a castingcall told some people on the phone,and the web about the movie idea(thay were gonna come)a couple months later I see a casting call with 4 short movies made and its my idea,and they are getting funded.So now I never tell the cast or any one the full story utill they are working with me,you cant trust people
